SIHM Tripura is a Premier Hospitality Institute established under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT), New Delhi. Located in the tranquil valley of Anandanagar, Agartala, our institute offers various industry-oriented programs that blend theoretical knowledge with practical experience. State Institutes of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (SIHM-Tripura) is established by the order of the Hon’ble President of India, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. As per the Ministry’s framework, authorized to implement Higher Education, Skill development and Training programs aligned with national objectives for Promoting Education in Hospitality, Tourism & Allied Sectors in the region.
This formal recognition by the Government of India has positioned SIHM-Tripura as an institute with full capability and approval to conduct and lead the execution of Training in Higher Education /Graduation Programs / Diploma & Allied Certificate Programs ensuring adherence to the highest standards of education and skill training.
SIHM Tripura has been officially inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in 2022, and has received accreditation from the National Council for Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (NCHMCT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. This, coupled with the institute’s excellent infrastructure and experienced staff, makes SIHM-Tripura an ideal institution for excellence in training.
The institute is affiliated Under the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi for its Graduation Programs which makes it an institute of National Importance. The institute is also an authorised skill development Partner to Ministry of Skill development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), NEW DELHI. The institute is Governed by its Governing Body & owned by Department of Tourism Government of Tripura.

Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited (TTDCL), Government of Tripura, has embarked on a major initiative for growth of the Tourism and Hospitality sector in the State of Tripura. The State Institute of Hotel Management is an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in association with Department of Tourism Government of Tripura & owned by the Society for State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition which is implemented by the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (TTDCL).
